Q: Where are you based? Do you travel?
A: I’m based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania and love to travel everywhere!
Q: How much would travel and accommodation cost?
A: No charge within Cluj County or a 100km radius. For the rest of Romania, travel costs are typically €400-500. For destination weddings, costs depend on distance, flights, and other expenses. I’ll arrange flights and/or accommodation in advance to keep costs as low and stress-free as possible.
Q: Is XX minutes really enough for the film? Why can’t it be longer/shorter?
A: Rest assured that everything worth seeing will be in your wedding film. The final film duration varies based on how the wedding unfolds and what happens on the day; it could be longer or shorter. What I can say for certain is that you will love it!
Q: Is it just you or is there a second videographer/assistant with you?
A: Depending on how your Big Day is set up, bride/groom locations, reception and ceremony I usually shoot with and additional videographer. This allows me to have multiple angles for every important moment. Everything happens fast, especially in the first part of the day and as I can’t be in multiple places at once, my second shooter covers additional details that I won’t be able to.
Q: Can I get X-part, Z-moment or first dance in full?
A: Absolutely, as long as you let me know about it beforehand we’re good.
Q: Sister/parents/guest will have a 10 min speech, how will it fit in the video.
A:I usually shoot speeches in full and even though I only use snippets in your actual wedding film, I can deliver the speeches in full as separate videos upon request.
Q: Will you direct us or tell us what to do?
A: I’ll give you pointers when needed, but I won’t be posing you throughout the day. My approach is relaxed and natural. I want you to be yourselves, enjoy the moment, and let me capture things as they happen. When there’s an opportunity for a great shot, I’ll gently guide you without making it feel staged or forced.
Q: What happens if you get sick?
A: Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. In the unlikely event that I’m unable to attend, my second shooter will be there to capture your day, following the same approach and vision we’ve discussed. I’ll still personally edit the footage and put the final touches on your film, so the end result remains true to my style and vision.
Q: How long after the wedding do I get the film?
A: I know you’re very excited to see your wedding film, that’s why I want to take my time editing it and color grading it to every detail. In full busy season the teaser will be ready in 3-4 weeks and your full wedding film will be ready in 4-6 months.
Q: Do we get to meet before the wedding?
A: Yes, definitely! I’m always excited to meet you, hear your story, and get to know you as a couple. Understanding who you are, what you love, and how you envision your wedding day helps me connect with your vibe and approach the day in a way that feels authentic to you. It also allows me to anticipate the moments that matter most and capture the day as naturally and beautifully as possible.
Q: Do you pick the music?
A: Yes. I use a combination of music and ambiental sounds to create the film soundtrack and its very important that the overall sound matches the shots and the energy you guys have. Music should not over power video but it should help in telling the story. Rest assured that the music selection and sound design and sound mixing is a big part of the time I spend on your film.
Q: What do you shoot with?
A: I work with a range of professional Canon cinema cameras, paired with VHS and super8 cameras for that vintage nostalgic feel, a variety of prime, zoom, and anamorphic lenses. My setup also includes professional audio, lighting, gimbals, and drones. That said, I believe the gear is only a tool, the final result is what matters. If you’re curious about the full setup, I’d be more than happy to share my complete gear list.
Q: Can we get the raw footage?
A: Absolutely. You have the option to receive the complete raw footage on a hard drive, delivered in Log format and without color correction or grading. Alternatively, you can opt for a curated selection of the Best footage, professionally color graded and organized chronologically, including B-roll and drone footage.
Q: Do you shoot HD? 4k?
A: My cameras can shoot up to 8K, ridiculous I know I, I usually shoot everything in 8k and downscale to 4k for the best quality. If you want to future proof and would like me to deliver in 8k, let me know before the wedding and its cool.
Q: Do you use a drone?
A: Yes, I always try to get a few drone shots for scene setting and establishing shots ,90% of the time there’s no problems but it always depends on weather and the location. Urban areas, zones near airports or military bases and large crowded areas are usually not permitted for drone flight by law so this varies case by case.
